Last weekend, I bought a bottle of Native Body Wash because I have been hearing so much about it. I was especially excited because the scent was absolutely delightful.

The smell was amazing, and I couldn’t wait to use it. But, when I tried opening the Native body wash pump, it wouldn’t! I tried twisting the top, pulled it, and even tried turning it every way I could, but my native body wash pump won’t open.

There were no instructions on the bottle or on the website as well. I started getting frustrated and trying to figure out how to open native body wash pump! I tried many things like watching youtube videos and finding something online related to it.

I finally figured it out. I realized that the body wash pump had a twist-lock on it. So, all I had to do is, twist the top part in the right direction. And Voila! It opened easily.

Once I understood how it worked, I was able to use the body wash with no problem at all.

In this post, I’m going to show you exactly how to open the Native Body Wash pump. I’ll walk you through each step, so you can open it easily.

How Does Native Body Wash Pump Work?

The Native Body Wash pump is pretty simple to use once you know how it works. When you first get the bottle, the pump is locked to make sure it doesn’t spill.

To open it, you just need to twist the top part of the pump counterclockwise (that means you turn it to the left). It might feel little tight at first, but when you hear a click sound, it’s open and ready to use!

To know if your pump is working or not, just press down on the pump, it will push the body wash up from the bottle and out through the nozzle.

This means you don’t have to shake the bottle or struggle to open a cap. You just press on the pump, and you will get just the right amount of body wash each time.

How to Open Native Body Wash Pump?

To open the Native Body Wash pump, the first thing you have to do is, twist the top part of the pump counterclockwise (to the left). It may feel a bit tight at first, but keep turning until you hear a small “click” sounbd, which means the pump is unlocked. Once it’s unlocked, press down on the pump to dispense the body wash.

If the liquid doesn’t come out on the first press, just press a couple more times to let the washing liquid come out.

To help you understand it more better, I have wrote down the steps to help you open the body wash pump:

Step 1: Understand the pump structure

parts of native body wash pump

Understanding these parts in extremely imortant to properly unlock the bottle.

At first, I didn’t really noticed. But, once I took the close look of the native shampoo pump structure, I noticed why my native body wash won’t opening.

First, grab the bottle and take a good look at the top.

You’ll see 3 things – the pump, the middle ring, and the bottom part that screws lock the bottle.

For reference, I have attached the image with it’s parts name.

Step 2: Hold the middle ring tightly

how to open native body wash pump

The biggest reason why I couldn’t open native body wash pump is because I was simply trying to twist the upper pump counterclockwise without reaslizing that there is middle ring as well.

I wasn’t noticing that the middle ring.

So, what I did was holded the middle ring and then tried twisting the upper pump of the native shampoo.

But, everytime I tried holding that tiny middle ring to twist the pump, it kept slipping out of my hand.

So, I wrapped a small rubber band between the gap of top pump and the middle ring. That rubber band was holding the middle ring in place and wasn’t moving along with the pump.

Then, I gently twisted the pump while applying slight upward pressure. And finally, it worked! The pump opened!

Step 3: Test the Pump

Now that the pump is unlocked, test it out! To test, push down on the top of the pump, and you will notice that the body wash is starting to come out.

But if it doesn’t, that’s okay, sometimes, it might not come out on the first press, especially if the pump has been sitting for a while.

Just press on the pump a few more times to get the liquid come out.

Now that the native body wash pump is open, you can now use it as you want. Just press down on the pump, and the perfect amount of body wash will come out.

Opening and using the Native Body Wash pump is really easy once you know what to do!

Twist Harder

If the pump feels really tight, it might be a little hard to turn at first.

Remember it’s alright if it’s stiff or won’t budge at first, just keep trying!

Check for Any Blockages

In some cases, the native body wash pump might not open because the nozzle or straw inside is blocked.

Take a look at the nozzle to make sure nothing is stuck there. If you see something, gently clean it with a cloth or warm water.
